These terms govern use of the AlignPS platform, including the Snapshot assessment, the founder workspace, and team assessments.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the AlignPS platform, including the free Snapshot assessment, the founder workspace, team assessments, reports, and related services (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by AlignPS (“AlignPS”, “we”, “us”).

By creating an account, taking an assessment, or using any part of the Service, you agree to these terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business, and “you” includes that business.

2. The Service

AlignPS provides leadership and team alignment assessments, scoring, and reports. The free Snapshot is a short self-assessment. The paid founder experience adds further questions, values and direction setting, and the ability to invite team members to complete their own assessments, which feed into a combined Snapshot report.

The Service provides information and frameworks for reflection and planning. It is not professional, legal, financial, psychological, or medical advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your situation.

3. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and keep your account credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

Founder accounts are matched to the email address used for the free Snapshot so that earlier answers carry over. You must not create an account using an email address that is not yours.

4. Team members and anonymity

If you are a founder, you may invite team members to complete the team assessment. You must only invite people who have agreed to take part, and you must tell them honestly what the assessment is and how the results are used.

Individual team member answers are pooled and reported anonymously. Founders do not see an individual team member’s answers or scores, and pooled sections of the Snapshot report only open when enough team members have completed the assessment to protect anonymity. Do not attempt to identify, or pressure anyone to reveal, an individual’s answers.

If you are a team member, your individual answers are not shown to your founder. Your answers are combined with others and reported only in aggregate, subject to the minimum group sizes described above.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. That includes: attempting to access another person’s account or data; scraping, copying, or reselling the Service or its content; interfering with the Service’s operation; submitting false or misleading information; and using the Service to harass, discriminate against, or make employment decisions about any individual based on their assessment answers.

Assessment results are a conversation starter, not a verdict on any person. You must not use them as the basis for hiring, firing, promotion, or disciplinary decisions.

6. Payment

Some parts of the Service are paid. Prices, billing terms, and what is included are shown at the point of purchase. Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable once access to the paid experience has been granted.

During pilot programmes, access may be granted without payment under separate arrangements. Those arrangements do not change these terms.

7. Your content and data

You retain ownership of the answers and information you submit. You grant us a licence to use that information to operate the Service: to score your assessments, build your reports, and show results to the people entitled to see them under the anonymity rules above.

We handle personal data in line with our privacy practices. We do not sell your personal data. We may use aggregated, de-identified data to improve the Service.

8. Our content

The Service, including the assessment questions, scoring models, report text, frameworks, and branding, belongs to AlignPS and its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service and your own reports for your internal business purposes. You may share your own reports within your business, but you may not republish, resell, or create derivative products from them.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any report will produce a particular business outcome. Assessments reflect self-reported perceptions at a point in time and may not capture the full picture of your business or team.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AlignPS is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose, or, if you paid nothing, one hundred US dollars.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms or use the Service in a way that could harm others or the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits) survive termination.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will give reasonable notice, for example by email or a notice in the Service. Continuing to use the Service after the change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

13. General

These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Governing law and venue: to be confirmed with legal counsel before public launch.

14. Contact

Questions about these terms: use the contact page on this site or email the AlignPS team.
